# Bot-UA markdown serving

**What we look for.** What AI crawlers such as GPTBot get back when they ask for HTML: Markdown, or the full HTML page.

**Why it matters.** Some sites recognise AI crawlers and serve them Markdown anyway, which reads far better than HTML.

**How to pass.** Optionally serve Markdown to known AI crawler User-Agents. It's a bonus, not a requirement.

Run it: `npx backwatch your-site.com --pillar readability` and find `agent-ua-markdown` in the report.
